Windkraft sorgt in Schottland für neue Arbeitsplätze

Die schottische Regierung hat den Startschuss für eine grosse Wind-Farm in South Lanarkshire gegeben. Sie soll 2011 fertiggestellt werden und wird 320.000 Haushalte mit Strom versorgen. Vom Bau der Windkraftanlage werden überwiegend schottische Betriebe wie "Welcon Towers" in Machrihanish in Kintyre profitieren.
